How to rename a rule-based tag?

It appears that I can only change the rule associated with the tag, but cannot rename the tag.

Is that correct?

If it is, is there any workaround other create a new tag with the exact same rules, then delete the old one?

I do not believe this is possible. Unfortunately, you are going to have to create a new tag with the exact same rules.

This is possible now, via the new Configuration API, currently an EAP.

There is a PUT Endpoint for /autoTags/{id} which updates an existing auto tag.
