Hi,
Our customer wants to activate host unit hour license only on business days from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.
Is it possible to activate/deactivate automatically host unit hour license during limited hours? I suppose that enabling/disabling of Host Monitoring can activate/deactivate license.
If it is possible, how do we can do that?
Best Regards,
Kohei

Hello @Kohei S.,
when you disable monitoring for a particular host it does not get billed. I'm not aware of a feature to do this automatically, e.g. via API though.

Hi @Gerald H.,
Thank you for your reply!
Thanks to your comment, I'm sure that the consumption of host unit hour license is related to whether the host is monitored or not.
However, what I want to know most here is how we can automatically switch monitoring...;)
Does anybody know that...?
For example, if dynatrace has any APIs to do this or there is another way, please tell me that way.
Thanks,
Kohei

For Dynatrace SaaS it's currently impossible to do it via API. Manually or using UI automation.
For Dynatrace Managed you could set the Environment's host units limit to 0 using internal REST API. Or automate via UI automation scripts. To get details on REST API please open a support ticket so we can assist with configuration.

Meanwhile, is this already possible in a SaaS solution, the automatically enable/disable dynatrace monitoring for a specific hostgroup during business hours (for example 8:00 AM - 06:00 PM CEST)
