Hi there,
in our implementation we make the use of custom devices for nodes without endpoints, such as network components, to monitor their availibility/hardware.
I'd have liked to actually define them as hosts, but it seems we're bound to custom device there. Anyway, as they're handled as any other hardware, they do have maintenances, but I don't see an option to actually define Maintenances on custom devices.
Is there any way to work around that? I'd actually like that I can choose "Custom Device" in the Maintenances and just throw the name I gave to it in there.
Currently all I get is this, and if I select in example "Host", I can't find custom devices. And there is no option for "Custom Device" there.
Best regards,
Georg

I would recommend putting an RFE in for this as Custom Devices should be an option. For now, as a work around, you can create an automatic tag to tag your custom device, then set the maintenance filter to All entities with that tag. But still a RFE for this would be great!

Hi ChadTurner - we have the similar situation now, still no option for Custom Device to set maintenance window and your work around dont work as well.
