OneAgent Self Tuning

I thought in the documentation that the OA would only use up to 2% CPU and would self tune. I cant find that anymore. Is this still valid?

Hi,

in the documentation i remember there is explicit reference to OA capability of self-suppressing itself if it cause overhead when network monitoring module is active:

CPU consumption is mentioned here as factor counted in.

I am not aware of any self-tuning capability within OA deployments today. We documented the known increase in memory that OA can cause on applications - OneAgent Memory Requirements - but there is no specific mention on self-tuning CPU utilization.

The "Self tunning" that you are referring to is this one:  https://docs.dynatrace.com/docs/platform-modules/infrastructure-monitoring/networks#expand--network-...

When the network agent reach a % of CPU it slow down the gathering of data for the network module. AFIK is the only one in the last years that has some kind of throttling.
