I've posted this question in our internal Slack, and here is the answer that I've got from our developers:
"Yes because OA needs to store (internally in memory) and process additional data to be able to send historic PIS metrics when the trigger occurs. How much is it we can't say (it was never measured, also additional memory depends on processes running on the host) but shouldn't be much (the amount of data and processing is small compared to other OA functionalities)."
