Hi all
I have a question regarding the OneAgent update.
We have a bunch of services and processes and each of them require a restart after the OneAgent update. Is there some possibility to get rid of these restarts?
Would be really nice if there was a possibility to just deploy new Agents without having to restart everything 🙂
Regards
Anna

Hi Anna,
unfortunately there is no way around the restarts. The injected agents for code level monitoring can only be updated if the process is restarted.
However there are many ways to automate the restart process so you don't have to do the pesky manual work 🙂
If you have an OpenShift environment for example, you could use the Dynatrace OneAgent Operator.

Is it possible for these processes to restart automatically on kubernetes?

Anna, Also keep in mind that there's still lots of information that is collected even without the restart. The restart is only necessary to get the code level monitoring.
