Routing defines the path of each record between “Ingest Source” and “Pipeline”. Use routing and define conditions to specify how a certain data record will be treated.
There are two options available for how to route a record:
- Static routing sends all the data coming from a specific "Ingest Source” into a defined “Pipeline” – it's currently only available for events and event-like data types but will become available for other data types in the near future
- Dynamic routing allows the definition of the target “Pipeline” for each data record based on any field of the record
