What is the process of manual and automatic agent update?

I have questions.
You know the process of the Agent during the manual and automatic updates on AIX, Linux. What is the process? And the user that Dynatrace uses to update the agent. What user is used to updating?

Installer agent on Linux, I use root privileges install.
