Advantages of Key user actions

I would like to know what are the advantages of definining key user actions.

And I guess also to keep those key user actions with unlimited retention period.

Key User Actions have the same data retention period as timeseries. Yes, up to unlimited for 1-day granularity.

And the Detail Data (Waterfall, Errors,...) is keptn for the whole time the user session is there (default 35 days), not just 10 days.
