We are sending RUM user events from our Android app every 15 minutes using Dynatrace. We monitor and log these events regardless of whether the app is in the foreground or background. However, we've observed that events are sometimes not captured during certain intervals, particularly when the app is in the background. These events resume automatically after some time without any manual intervention. Notably, we are also using New Relic alongside Dynatrace, and the New Relic consistently captures all events without any data loss during the same periods. We would like assistance in understanding why these background events are missed by Dynatrace and how we can ensure reliable and consistent event delivery in both foreground and background states.

Hey,
I would recommend to create a support ticket. If you can reproduce the problem, then you should collect the agent debug logs . The Dynatrace support team can analyze the scenario and determine the exact root cause. Sharing the agent debug logs will also help us to understand the used cluster and agent settings.
Unfortunately, Dynatrace only offers limited offline support. If there is a communication problem, OneAgent will deactivate monitoring. Maybe this behavior is responsible for the incomplete monitoring.
