Hi everyone.
This question is not so much related to Dynatrace itself but more to expanding the knowledge around it. Many clients I have also use Kubernetes and while I have knowledge on how to integrate/dashboard it in Dynatrace, I would like to gain more Kubernetes knowledge. While I have seen this and that, I am searching for a beginners course to make sure I am missing no information and understand the entire set up. Does anyone know very good, but affordable options? Maybe also with a recognized certificate in the end (or at least leading up to one)? Bear in mind that I don't want to be busy with Kubernetes full-time and become an expert, but I want to have a solid foundation to do even more with it in Dynatrace after. 🙂

PS I do understand your way of thinking. When you do monitoring you expand on so many tech stack that to do quality thing you need to have good concepts and understanding. 😎 Feel ya'

Hello.
the ideal option is to learn something - to start working with it. You need pet project that you will be deployed to own k8s cluster or EKS\ GKE.
If you have familiar with Terraform/Vagrant you can try to google "local Kubernetes cluster with Vagrant in 10 min"
Dynatrace can help with visibility and understanging how system works 🙂
Try to goolge "kubernetes learning path".
If you want certification at the end -> linux foundation -> kcna\cka\ckad <-
Check out the free courses. A huge number of GCP/Azure/AWS study sites also offer basic information\free course about k8s.
From my colleagues, I know the way even easier. There are sites - playgrounds or sites with labs - nothing will have to be deployed on its own. More easier to start. But I recommend the hard way. You can also google: kuberenetes the hard way.
