Is there a new-Dynatrace equivalent to using Management Zones for granting synthetic monitor creation without full admin rights?

In classic Dynatrace, I used Management Zones to allow team members to create synthetic monitors without giving them full admin rights for the entire environment. Is there a similar option available in the new Dynatrace?

Management Zones are no longer available in the latest Dynatrace. Consequently, the approach you previously used doesn’t apply to new Dynatrace implementations.

However, we're introducing an enhanced mechanism to set the security context when creating new monitors. This will allow users without environment administrator privileges (environment:roles:manage-settings) to create or edit synthetic monitors within the security contexts they’re entitled to, as defined by IAM policies managed by environment access owners.

Additionally, to make the transition smooth:

  1. Existing users won’t need to retag their current monitors.
  2. The names of the Management Zones that these monitors belong to in Dynatrace Classic will be automatically applied as Security Contexts.

The primary action for customer teams will be to create or adjust IAM policies to define user access based on these security contexts. This upcoming improvement directly addresses the need to restrict access to configurations and results for a specific subset of monitors, which has been a common challenge.

The target release for this improvement is 26CQ2
