Hello

At my company we have just implemented an internally hosted Active Gate to be used as a private location.

This is a real game changer for us as we have many services behind WAF's.   We can also used additional functionality such as

ICMP
Port tests
DNS speed

Now these are setup we can create dashboards on systems and services that we couldn't do before.
The setup is very easy, deploy your Active gate using the deployment function and choose the Private location role.  You cant do this on an existing AG that has the one-agent (as far as I know).

If anyone wants to learn more about this, I am happy to share.
Thanks, John

Hi John, good to hear that.

Regarding dashboards, you can find ready-made dashboards dedicated to synthetic monitoring that should help you build your own:

  • Network availability monitoring -> link
  • Web availability and performance -> link

Best regards,

Cezary
