Hi all,
Let me use this community of Dynatrace users to deliver important announcements:
As our documentation mentions, Chromium development for RHEL7.x and CentOS 7.x stopped at version 126.
We can't assure you that you'll have a high enough level of stability and security for synthetic monitors execution with an outdated browser version for a significantly longer period of time.
Thus, we've decided to discontinue our support for installing Synthetic-enabled ActiveGate on those two operating systems after ActiveGate version 1.305, which will be released in December 2024.
ActiveGate version 1.305 will be the last Synthetic-enabled ActiveGate supported on RHEL 7.x/ CentOS 7. x. Dynatrace version 1.306 will also introduce mechanisms preventing Synthetic-enabled ActiveGates on RHEL 7. x / CentOS 7. x from being updated beyond version 1.305.
Important: The abovementioned changes won't affect ActiveGates set up for purposes other than executing synthetic monitors.
To ensure the continuity and security of your synthetic monitors, we recommend migrating your ActiveGate from RHEL 7. x / CentOS 7. x to a supported operating system, for example, RHEL 9. x or Rocky Linux 9. x. If that's not possible, you might consider temporarily running your private location on ActiveGate version 1.305 as a workaround.
Best Regards,
Jacek
