Hi all,
Let me use this community of Dynatrace users to deliver important announcements:
As we’ve mentioned in our documentation, Chromium development for Amazon Linux 2 stopped at version 126.
We can't assure you that you’ll have a high enough level of stability and security for synthetic monitors execution with an outdated browser version for a significantly longer period of time.
Thus, we’ve decided to discontinue our support for installing Synthetic-enabled ActiveGate on that Operating System after ActiveGate version 1.307, which will be released in February 2025.
We plan to have ActiveGate version 1.307 as the last Synthetic-enabled ActiveGate supported on Amazon Linux 2. Additionally, with Dynatrace version 1.308, we plan to introduce mechanisms preventing Synthetic-enabled ActiveGates on Amazon Linux 2 from being updated beyond version 1.307.
Important: The abovementioned changes won't affect ActiveGates set up for purposes other than executing synthetic monitors.
To ensure the continuity and security of your synthetic monitors, we recommend migrating your ActiveGate from Amazon Linux 2 to a supported operating system, for example, Amazon Linux 2023. If that’s not possible, you might consider temporarily running your private location on ActiveGate version 1.307 as a workaround.
Best Regards,
Jacek
