Synthetic monitor Ports - How many bytes per poll in Dynatrace Cluster

Hi,

Synthetic monitor Ports Installation requirement:

- The Extension must be installed both on an Active Gate and on the Dynatrace Cluster

Our concern is the installation of Synthetic monitor Ports extension to Dynatrace Cluster.  We would like to know the exact value of bytes that will consume to Dynatrace cluster for every poll. The reason is, to control how many ports will register if we know the specific value per poll. Please advise.

Thank you

Not entirely sure what you mean, are you talking about the Port Check Extension from the Hub?

Extensions are installed/run on the activegate, you just have to upload them to the cluster as well so dynatrace knows about the configuration/metrics for the extension.

Port Check Extension from the Hub - Yes it is.

Since we have to upload it to cluster, How many byte/bandwidth will consume per port for every poll to Dynatrace cluster?

As I said, the upload to the cluster is only so it has the information about the plugin.

Nothing from the plugin is executed on the cluster. It runs on the ActiveGate.

As it's just a simple port check the bandwith uses on the ActiveGate and your application should be minimal, can't say the definitie size of the packket used though.
