We are continually getting Dynatrace alerts on the VM server hosted onsite. The Infra team is saying that the servers are online, should they be looking at anything specific? We are able to ping the servers.

First thing would be to verify that the OneAgent is running and also able to connect to the Dynatrace tenant. If the issue is not obvious based on the above, you may wish to open a ticket with Dynatrace support to investigate further.
