I see the use case here and I believe it would be a good addition. In the meantime; I wanted to point out the ability to parse for strings/data within a log file using our log analytics. This would allow for you to parse for error codes directly in file path(s) and have it show directly within Dynatrace.
We then also could create a custom metric to get increased granularity on the specific data.

Indeed, analysing the logs could be a solution.
But some of our customers do not want to use log ingestion.
I would prefer the solution to be 'native to Dynatrace' in order to automatically retrieve these events and create the associated problems.
