The beginning of the New Year is a great opportunity to meet another Community member that shared his experience and professional knowledge with other Dynatracers. Maybe he will be an example for others to make some New Year’s resolutions regarding forum activity? 😉 Without further ado, we would like to introduce our Community Member of the Month for January: @Vlad S.
Can you tell a little bit about your professional life? Where are you working and what are you doing in your daily job?
I’m working in Ukrainian Dynatrace RFO and doing business with APM product for more than 8 years. Started with Quest\Dell Foglight and then switched to Compuware\Dynatrace about 4 or 5 years ago. I like to meet customers and help them to improve their services based on Dynatrace data. My daily job includes delivering POCs, presentations, participating in conferences as a presenter, doing service delivery by myself and my team.
What is your story with Dynatrace? Why did you start using our products and for what project?
It was 4 or 5 years ago when my company signed an RFO agreement with Compuware. My first thought about AppMon was – holy crap. How to deal with it? But my Dynatrace friends from Poland helped me to understand the value of AppMon. The special thanks for this go to @Slawomir M., @Janusz D. and @Marek D. I still remember my first project with AppMon in some telephone company. As well as a customer reaction to the amount and quality of data that we were able to provide. And I enjoy seeing Customers that are happy to use Dynatrace products.
Have you ever had any interesting use case for the Dynatrace product, that you found to be particularly intriguing? Could you tell us about it?
There is a lot of interesting cases but the fresh one is with the Session Replay and newly introduced Rage clicks. The customer was looking on new Rage click functionality and decided to check the session using Session Replay. They realized that their client, during waiting for some income to the banking account, was refreshing the page over and over again. So, they decided to implement SMS notification and pop-up messages to the application the notify clients about new income.
What brought you to our community? What is your best memory about it?
And how about your life outside the IT – what is your biggest passion?
I like to play the guitar. But my 3-years old daughter does not enjoy listening to me playing Metallica’s “Master of Puppets” at home. That’s why I bring the guitar and the amp to my work. So right now, my colleagues are enjoying it 🙂
It would also be great if you could share with us your favorite movie, song and/or a book. Let other members of community discover something new and interesting to watch/hear/read 🙂
I really like Tarantino movies. But due to lack of time, I can only see movies during business travels, which happens quite often.
Thank you, Vladislav, for this interview and for contributing in our Community! We are starting our 2020 Community Member of the Month awards with some classic metal riffs, let’s hope the rest of the year will be also full of Rockstars in our forum.
