Hello, Uros! Shed some light on your journey. How did you become a Dynatracer?
I’m incredibly honored to be recognized as Employee of the Month for the second time!
This recognition would not have been possible without the trust, support, and collaboration of my amazing clients and colleagues. Thanks to them, I have been able to explore new use cases and continuously discover new ways to make the most of the fantastic solution that is Dynatrace.
For anyone curious, here is my first spotlight feature from March 2022. As the saying goes, with a small personal twist: the older we get, the better we become, just like fine wine! Well, at least we do our best!
To give you the short version of the story, like all human beings, we sometimes let ourselves be carried by the waves, while still trying to set the right course when we reach a crossroads. At the right moment, we choose a destination that instinctively feels like the beginning of a new adventure. Life is a lottery, but taking calculated risks is what adds a little spice to our existence.
In short, my natural curiosity, my love of solving puzzles, and my desire to make sense of things spontaneously led me towards science, more specifically applied physics and atomic physics.
At the end of my PhD, however, I came face to face with another kind of physical reality: the reality of society and the job market. When the choice came down to continuing to dream or becoming more pragmatic, the decision was a radical one.
Some say that God likes to play dice. My philosophy was simply: “I trust the journey, so let’s go!”
Through an unexpected turn of events, I found myself entering the job market and completing an intensive three-month training course to become a Java developer. And that is how my journey into the world of IT began.
What do you work on, and what interesting things are you currently involved in?
Today, I wear two hats: Lead Consultant and Enterprise Program Manager. After nearly seven years at Dynatrace, one thing is certain: you never have time to get bored!
Every day is different, mainly because of the incredible diversity of customer use cases. One day, you may be focusing on the end-user experience through RUM analytics or Synthetic Monitoring. Next, you may find yourself exploring the fascinating world of mainframes and z/OS, which has been an incredibly enriching experience for me.
Our customers continuously encourage us to explore the full potential of Dynatrace across different architectures, technologies, and highly specific business requirements. This is what real observability means to me: identifying the shortest path to the original root cause, while keeping one key principle in mind: be proactive.
Only when we become proactive can we truly understand how an application lives, behaves, and evolves.
I am proud, above all, to be part of this journey and to work with so many inspiring and passionate people. Exchanging ideas, and sometimes debating them, with seasoned experts can help you gain perspective and see complex situations from a completely different angle.
This becomes especially valuable when a situation needs to be unblocked or improved. This is where my EPM role makes a real difference, allowing me to connect people, technology, and customer expectations, while gradually becoming a trusted advisor.
So, what am I proud of?
I am particularly proud to have contributed to a blog post about SLOs. For me, SLOs are more than just technical indicators. They represent a philosophy, a search for the right level of precision, almost like finding the perfect Gaussian curve!
The goal is to find the right alerting frequency and focus on the genuine business signals that truly matter. At the same time, we must never forget the end users of our customers’ applications. Observability requires empathy too!
Your “aha!” moment with Dynatrace — was there a recent problem you solved using our product?
Another experience I am particularly proud of took place within a global bank, where I had the opportunity to help mainframe teams expand their understanding of observability and define what it meant in their own context. “Mainframers” have their own language, culture, and deeply specialized expertise. Rather than expecting them to immediately adopt the terminology of APM and observability, it is our responsibility to adapt, understand their jargon, and find meaningful equivalents in their world. This translation effort helps bridge the gap between mainframe and distributed environments, build trust, and establish a shared vision of observability. After all, observability is not only about connecting technologies. It is also about connecting people.
What makes the Dynatrace Community important to you?

I have now been exploring and “playing” with Dynatrace for almost exactly ten years. Before joining the company, I was actually on the other side: I was a Dynatrace customer myself!
From my own experience, I can honestly say, with a touch of humor, that our forum “saves lives!” Most of the time, we can find answers to our questions by drawing on the knowledge, experience, and generosity of the community.
The opportunity to contribute to the platform’s evolution through RFEs, is equally important. It allows customers, partners, and Dynatracers to add another dimension to the product by sharing real-world needs, proposing new ideas, and inspiring our highly respected Dynatrace developers to take the platform even further.
My involvement in the community also includes participating in the Dynatrace France User Groups (INNOVATE Roadshow) every year. These events are a great opportunity to reconnect with former colleagues and customers, share experiences, and catch up with people I have truly enjoyed working with over the years.
What are your hobbies or passions? What keeps you motivated and brings you the most joy?
Although I sometimes work as a lone wolf, I also enjoy blending in, connecting with people, and experiencing the reality on the ground. Above all, I believe that social interaction is essential, as it prevents us from developing a distorted view of reality.
As a father and husband, I am also grateful to Dynatrace for the flexibility it provides and for enabling me to maintain a healthy balance between my personal and professional life.
A special shout-out to my French colleagues within ACE Services: what I particularly value is the friendly atmosphere, the strong team spirit, and the genuine willingness to support one another. You stand out not only for your technical expertise, but also for your remarkable human qualities. It is truly a pleasure to work and grow alongside you.
Outside of work, I have many passions, including painting, playing music, chess, squash and padel, as well as gaming, which reveals a little more of my geeky side!
Most importantly, I would like to thank my wife Sandra, who has helped me grow, thrive, and become a better version of myself. After all, one mind can achieve a great deal, but two minds working in harmony can achieve even more.
