Hello Dynatrace Community,
With the launch of the “Custom Solutions Spotlight” sub-forum we're introducing a set of guidelines your posts must follow in order to ensure a consistent experience for all users. In this article, you’ll learn which type of content is allowed and how your post should be structured to present your custom solution.
- The “Custom Solutions Spotlight” is the only place in the Dynatrace Community where you should promote and talk about your Dynatrace Custom Solutions – your apps, extensions, dashboards, workflows, and other Dynatrace-related creations, that you want to present to other users.
This is the dedicated discussion space for your creations. Avoid sharing app links in other subforums, as it may be considered spam. Instead, focus on building a vibrant community around your app and collecting valuable feedback in one central location.
- The only exception to the above rule is when a user asks explicitly about your app or other custom solution in a different place in the Community. You can then link to the article in the App Spotlight forum or the Dynatrace Hub so that they can discuss it there
- Create only one article per custom solutions. Please keep the discussion in one specific thread per your creation, as it will be easier to navigate through them for other users
- In the post, please focus on the use cases and potential benefits of the app to its users. Don't try to promote the app in this forum through special discounts, promotional activities, links to places outside the Community and Dynatrace Hub, etc.
- Don't use Generative AI, such as ChatGPT, Bard, or Bing AI, for creating 100% of the content in this forum. Generic, automatically generated content harms the app's promotion and makes content in the Community less visible. You can still use AI as a tool, but just for help and inspiration. Show your inventiveness, as this is always the best way to bring the attention of your audience
- Don't create a false engagement around your posts, or don't bump the articles to the top of the list with comments without value in them. Creating fake traffic around your posts is easy to notice, as such behavior can lead to losing the privileges of posting in this forum.
- All other rules of our Community Guidelines are also valid for this subforum. Please be nice to each other, make sure that the content you're creating brings value to the users, stay on topic, take care of the security of your posts, and most importantly – have fun, and make your adventure with the Dynatrace Community memorable!
