Solved: Gen3 dashboard drilldown for users with View Access permissions

Hi,

I am not sure if this should be raised as a support ticket, but thought I'd ask the community first. With the new Gen 3 dashboards, I have noticed that if a user has edit permissions on the dashboard, the user can click on the contents in the table tile and it will allow for a drill down from the dashboard.

Example:

If the dashboard is shared as view only, then it is not possible to drill down:

Does anyone know if this is by design? Ideally, I would like to share a dashboard that still allows the user with view permissions to drilldown from the dashboard.

Has anyone experienced the same as me, and do you think that it is a bug / feature request?

Feedback from Support:

Currently, this is expected behavior, but I've good news we're working on improvement in this area, allowing users with "read-only" permission to use the "open with" option.
From the information I was able to gather, it looks like this should be delivered with v1.288 or v1.289.
