In the past, when we want to put different metrics data which come from the same application, we can define individual styles for different metrics, e.g. metrics A display in bar while metrics B and C display in lines.
However, in gen3 charts we can only define the general display style in the "Visual" tab.
Are there any ways we can display different styles within the same chart?

Hi,
IMO, unfortunately this is not possible in Gen3 charts at the moment. In Gen3 dashboards, the visualization type (line, bar, area, etc.) is defined globally per chart in the Visual tab. Unlike Gen2 (classic) charts, you cannot assign different visualization styles per metric within the same chart.
So scenarios like:
Metric A → bars
Metric B & C → lines
are no longer supported in a single Gen3 chart.
The only woraround that u can implement is split metrics into separate charts (one bar chart, one line chart) or overlay data conceptually by using multiple tiles aligned together

You can still achieve this but there will be nuances based on the dimension you use when you split the metric.
If you Have selected the bar chart you'll super impose bar to all.
Once you understand what is meaning full to have as line you can further click on "bars" and add (+) custom Geometry.
Please test it and see if it is fitting your use case 😀
