I am trying to build a dashboard for a .NET based application.
I would like to understand the difference between 2 different metrics for GC in .NET.
Under Data Explorer Tab I can chose :
.NET garbage collection (# Gen 1) AKA builtin:tech.dotnet.gc.gen1Collections
Gen 1 Collections AKA builtin:tech.dotnet.perfmon."#Gen1Collections"
As I'm trying to build a "Table" with different processes, I can see that if the first metric returns a value, the second one returns nothing. Some processes have a returned value for the first metric, and some other processes have only returned values for the second one.
Does someone know the differences between those 2 metrics ?
