Override Management Zone of a process or process group

PierreLamonzie

Hello all,

I hope it is possible to do a such using the settings V2 API, but I am not clear at all how to do that (if there is a UI option, I am interested too :-))

And I don't know if it's better to do that at a process group or a process group instance level.

I would imagine it has to be done by passing management zone(s) Id, but maybe names will be accepted ?!

And most probably we can only replace all the mz values, not remove or add a specific one ?

Thx in advance for your answers.

Pierre

Hi Anton,

you're right, this is similar.

However I am looking for a solution to change/set the mz of process/process group, where in the other post, I was trying to override the problem mz directly 😁

Thx and regards.

Hi,

I would use tags and management zone rules would be base on tags.

  • If entity A has tag X (and maybe other conditions) => Management zone X.
  • If entity A has tag Y (and maybe other conditions) => Management zone Y.

Then, you need to change tag to entity, and would be in management zone X or Y or both. It applies to host, processes groups, service...
