great question. Its been a while since I've been managed so my context might be a bit dated. But, Dynatrace typically forces the updates on a Biweekly basis where you cant directly skip or pick your upgrade outside of the day/time in the given week. Sure you can kick the can down the road. Say its Monday you can tell the CMC to upgrade on Friday, then on Thursday change the date to Wednesday, and you've bought yourself some time.
Maybe someone else can shed light on the ability to pull a particular version from a given repo
