Hello Dynatrace Community,
I am currently reviewing the Dynatrace Classic licensing documentation for Dynatrace Managed to do some capacity planning.
According to the official documentation, an HTTP monitor consumes 0.1 DEM units per synthetic request.
My question is: Does this 0.1 DEM rate apply equally whether the HTTP monitor is executed from a Public Location or a Private Location (on-premises ActiveGate)? Or is there a differentiation in the consumption?
I would appreciate it if you could clarify how Dynatrace Managed handles this currently.
Thank you.

Hi @Aboud1
The Dynatrace documentation explicitly states: "It doesn't matter if the monitoring location is public or private" when calculating HTTP Monitor DEM consumption
https://docs.dynatrace.com/docs/license/digital-experience-monitoring/http-monitor
For DEM unit billing purposes, the consumption rate is identical regardless of location type.
Thanks,
Sujit
