Hi there.
We have just installed our Dynatrace Managed server and integrated user management with our LDAP. But now, we have realized it would be useful to have some local users for special purposes (temporary access, for example). Is that possible? How can I do it?
Thanks!

It's not possible. The only local user is administrator.

Hi @skrystosik ,
is it still the same in 2021? Our use case is that our external vendor support is unable to authenticate via LDAP, they definitely need some local users. What would you suggest in this case? We have Dynatrace Managed.

We are currently running Dynatrace Managed version 1.338.67.
Our cluster uses an active LDAP integration for user authentication. However, we now have a business requirement to define local/normal users (such as external consultants or users from different domains who are not part of our main LDAP directory).
Despite being on a very recent version (1.338), the "Add new user" or "Create user" button is not visible or active in our Cluster Management Console (CMC) under User Management.
Could anyone guide us on how to expose this feature?
- Is there a specific Feature Flag or Rest API configuration we need to trigger?
- Do we need to modify a parameter in the custom.properties file on the cluster nodes?
- Or is this something that strictly requires Dynatrace Support to enable from the backend?
Any insights or workarounds from fellow Managed admins would be highly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
