Hi guys,

This course is one of the most important and practical Dynatrace courses for Automation, so I would like to add some tips that will help you pass the exam.

  • Watch the course on Dynatrace University at least twice and make sure that you've practiced this in real environments.
  • The Exam is 50 questions with a passing score of 75% (37.5 questions)
    • knowledge areas:
      - Theory and Concepts 2% (1 question)
      - OneAgent Deployment Automation 18% - (9 questions)
      - Feeding business context into Dynatrace Smartscape 18% - (9 questions)
      - Configuration as Code with Dynatrace Monaco 18% - (9 questions)
      - Service Level Objectives 12% - (6 questions)
      - Incident Management Automation 14% - (7 questions)
      - Problem Remediation Automation 18% - (9 questions)
  • knowledge areas Tips
    1. Theory and Concepts: 
      • it's important to understand the timeline of an Incident (Incident Management lifecycle & Terminologies).
    2. OneAgent Deployment Automation:
      • K8s: Understand the concept of Dynatrace Operator, Kubernetes.yaml, Dynakube.yaml, Deployment Options & the differences between all of them (add more focus to ClassicFullStack & CloudNativeFullStack), CSI driver, Code Mudule injection, and understand the Summary at the end of (OneAgent Automation - k8s Monitoring).
      • Istio monitoring by OneAgent is supported for the classic full-stack, cloud-native full-stack, and application-only deployment options since Operator version 0.11.0+. Earlier versions support classic full-stack only

    3. Feeding business context into Dynatrace Smartscape:
      • Applying Metadata, Naming, and Tagging across all layers such as (applications, Services, Processes, Hosts & Datacenter)
      • Host, process group & Kubernetes metadata
      • Configure release inventory options

      • What is Ownership, Creating and assigning Ownership, responsibilities assigned to Ownership, assign Ownership to entities.
    4. Configuration as Code with Dynatrace Monaco:
      • Monaco: Deploy multiple environments/projects, manifest yaml headers, authentication types, configuration yaml, and use Monaco to migrate configurations from one environment to another environment.

    5. Service Level Objectives:
      • Understand the terminology of SLO, SLA & SLI
      • Alert on SLO status & Burn rate
    6. Incident Management Automation:
      • Dynatrace Framework to automate incident management
      • the best practices before and after the integration with incident management.
      • why false positive happens and how to remove them, and the most frequent reasons
      • Severity levels
      • impact levels
      • Problem notification integrations
      • Auto assigning of ticket
      • Reduce the number of incidents & alerting profile scope
      • Alerting profile filtering
      • The information needed to open an incident ticket
    7. Problem Remediation Automation:
      • Auto Remediation Overview
      • Auto Remediation examples
      • Trigger Auto Remediation Actions (Multiple Actions, next action after the first action)
