Hello, picked it up at a customer environment (thanks Henri)

You can disable the automatic JavaScript injection by Dynatrace:

And still use the webserver as a beacon by manually adding the script to the application/page. You can even build in some logic on a web page to enable/disable the embedding of the script.

This means the developer/end user is in control when and where to run the script. You can fill in the use cases yourself.

 

(I assume we all know distributed trace will not work without auto injection)

 

Again simple, but may be helpful.
