Dear All,
According to the documentation "ActiveGate version 1.175+ has the plugin module installed by default." Our current ActiveGate version is 1.177.
After successful installation, you should see two running services:
I can see only the following running services on the ActiveGate.
dynatraceautoupdater.service loaded active running Dynatrace ActiveGate AutoUpdater service
dynatracegateway.service loaded active running Dynatrace ActiveGate service
It means from 1.175+ version there will be no Dynatrace Remote Plugin Module service.

Babar
Solved! Go to Solution.
When you go to Deployment Status => ActiveGates, do you see there information that plugin module is installed and active?
Sebastian
So it should be fine
It is possible the process is not using enough resource to register if you have not deployed any plugins....
Hello @sebastian k. and @Marco M.
Documentation is not updated on the source, but the following information is under the IBM MQ link:
remotepluginmodule.service loaded active running Dynatrace Remote Plugin Module

Hi guys
1. Updating AG 171 without remote plugin to 179 didn't added the remote plugin service - How can we add the service now?
2. The same upgrade (171 --> 179) on different AG with remote plugin service installed finished OK and the remote plugin service is running but on the UI its says that the plugin is inactive, is that a bug?.

I think you can issue the command...
systemctl status remotepluginmodule
I am not 100% sure on that though. I only use the...
systemctl restart remotepluginmodule
Keep in mind too that it will require root or the ability to sudo.
