we have Redgate monitoring our MSSQL Server databases, however, we would like to link more database-level data by connecting the same databases to the DYnatrace SQL extension as well.
do we know if having Redgate and dynatrace plugins working at the same time may cause issues?

Hi @aqib_khan,
I do not have expereince on Redgate monitoring and its monitoring method of Redgate. Best practice not to use two observaibilty tools for the same purposes...There are two Dynatrace MSSQL plugins with differnet metric set. They are use wmi resquests or collects data with a user (remote or local). I have never experienced resource overhead with them.
SQL Server Monitoring | Dynatrace Hub
Monitor SQL Server using OneAgent | Dynatrace Hub
I recommend to test them with Redgate in a Test environment...
I hope it helps.
Best regards,
