Hi,
Lately we noticed that whenever we update an extension from Dynatrace Hub, it also automatically updates all monitoring configurations to latest version.
I'm fairly certain that this wasn't always the case, as I recall having to update each configuration after an extension update.
Does anyone know when this changed and if we can still do the update of the extension without updating the configurations simultaneously?

Hi,
I noticed it on IBM MQ and Databricks extensions. I tested the IBM MQ one in both a SaaS and a Managed environment and it behaved the same, upgraded both the extension and the configuration.

I am not using that extension but no problem in others. I would suggest you opening a support ticket in case they can see more information.

I updated MSSQL extension and this time it didn't update the configuration with it. So there must be something going on with the configurations. I will open a support ticket to investigate further.

If you're pressing the correct button (the lower one) and the monitoring configurations still update, please raise a support ticket.

The answer from the support was:
"The behavior change was added around January-March 2023.
Based on the code, it also updates configs if all conditions below are fulfilled:
