When using Openkit in a Managed Environment, there is the possibility of sending the information through a Cluster Activegate, but also through an "Instrumented web server".
There is not a lot of information out there about this option. Seems we can use a subset of OneAgents running on servers with some webservers:
Has anyone used this option?

Hi,
You are correct, it can be any web server that has a full stack OneAgent monitoring it.

Hi Michael,
So, if I have Oneagent installed on a server that supports http://intranet.company.com/ than I should configure my custom application with http://intranet.company.com/mbeacon ?
That sounds correct. You can test that URL in a browser to make sure that you get a response. You need to have RUM enabled for the URL to work.
Hello Antonio. Did it work with an Webserver with OneAgent? And if yes, what did you do beside installing OneAgent on the Webserver? We have a szenario like this and i need to find any documentation.... We use Dynatrace Managed.
Yes, it worked, only with one problem, but that was related to some security configuration on our side. The only restriction is that you can't do this when OneAgent is in infrastructure mode.
Hi Antonio,
which configuration is needed on the Webserver ? Is there any documentation for this ?
Regards
Sascha
No configuration needed, just a full stack OneAgent on a supported technology (one of the technologies in the help page Antonio linked to)
No configuration needed. Just have to point it to a webserver that is being monitored. The link I provided above has some documentation on this issue.

We do this quite often, just a Full stack OneAgent needed on a supported web server (see Antonio's link). If it doesn't work you can reach out to the Dynatrace chat for live help.
