Hello dear community!
I am wondering if we can bind a Dynatrace extensions (SNMP or FortiGate) to run from an Activegate and one of its specific Network Interface (asssuming the VM on top of which the activegate is installed have several IPs).
Does anyone know?
Regards,
Yann

You can use ActiveGate groups to specify which ActiveGate needs to run which extention preventing other activegate to try something they cannot reach.
For the rest, I guess the routing needs to be done on the OS since the activegate itself runs fromout the ActiveGate process and cannot control which interface it uses.

Thank you!
Yep, up until this point it's pretty straightforward as the extension itself will ask you on which AG group you want to run but as you might have understood my question goes one layer below this type of configuration.
I have Server A with Ag installed:
Server A has IP 1 and IP 2.
When I run extension fortigate I'd like to bind the source address to Ip 1 and all the other extension to run on Ip 2.

Not possible from a activegate config perspective. I guess it should be possible to route a destination ip over a certain network device. So like mentioned in my initial reply, this should be handled from the OS.

Agreed, this is handled by the OS. So if you want an ActiveGate to use a specific network interface or IP address for outgoing requests, it's has to be configured on the OS level by configuring the routing table (maybe you need an explicit rule in your case).

Hi,
I think that is not possible.
Best regards
