What are the criteria for filtering host by technology, I can filter services by technology but not hosts?
Hosts:
Services:
On some of my instances, I have seen Kubernetes listed under Technology filters for the hosts, but that was it.
Solved! Go to Solution.
Filtering hosts by technology only works when the host is monitored as part of a cloud platform such as Kubernetes or Cloud Foundry. Because those platforms can have many different kinds of technologies that are represented as hosts in Dynatrace, the "technology" of the host specifies the exact kind of technology of a cloud platform that it is.
For example, Dynatrace can monitor Cloud Foundry Diego cells, Windows Diego cells, and the BOSH layer of a Cloud Foundry deployment. All of these different components are represented as hosts in Dynatrace so an additional filtering option, "technology," is used to specify which kind of Cloud Foundry component the host is.
Understood, Thanks Alex.
