How to add host events and management zone?

Hi all!

This is an example. I need to create a management zone for 1 host.

Romanenkov_Al3x_1-1709652685300.png

With new UI I haven't all metrics when I have rules like:

  • Entities matching type("host"),entityName("somewhere") - host
  • - entityId("CUSTOM_DEVICE-13205DA6807524D6") - Alertmanager
  • Hosts where Host group name equals "somegroup" - normal rule for host

What rule I need to add to this management zone to see ALL metrics & events for host in new-host-ui-version like we had in versions 1.150-230 😍

Have tried with metric - builtin:osservice.availability, different splits, but same result:

Dimensional rule for ANY where DIMENSION 'dt.osservice.name' equals with 'alertmanager'

i think that it depends. the events are for process ? services? they have something inside ? or only you are adding the host to the rule ?

you can always use the trusted rule

Monitored Entity - applies to - Process group - check underlying and provided services

this will add the events to the host.

fuelled by coffee and curiosity.

Interested in os:service object. I successfully added this object to MZ, but there is no events from this object on host level. Without MZ - I can see full information as expected.

That's odd. I have just tested in my env (SaaS 1.286).

I have a MZ with a rule to "Hosts where Host group name equals "somegroup"", I have then added a fake Process availability rule, just to make sure I could replicate the same kind of availability event, and it does appear with and without the MZ selected...

No other crazy rule in my MZ.

You may have a bug there... 🤔
