How to block or allow email by domain

kumaravel

Hello,

Is there a possibility to allow or block email domains when using the Email connector through Workflows.

Right now we depend on the users entering the email list.

Also is there a possibility to configure this through environment settings?

Hello @kumaravel

At the moment, Dynatrace Workflows doesn’t appear to provide a native allowlist/blocklist for recipient email domains in the Email connector. The documented controls are mainly permissions and connection access, not recipient-domain policies. So this also doesn’t appear to be configurable through environment settings.

The usual workaround is to enforce domain validation inside the workflow before the Send email action, for example by checking recipients against an approved domain list and blocking or failing the step when they don’t match.

But it's a great Product idea to submit, you totally should give a shot to this one 😁
