Hello,
Customer notices that all Beacon posts from the Agent are logged in IIS 10. Does anybody know how to filter these requests so they are not logged?
Please be aware that advanced logging is not available in IIS 10.
I do not think that rerouting the beacon will do (-;
(thanks Marina for your question)

Hi @henk_stobbe, I'm afraid it is not possible without advanced logging, and since Microsoft deprecated that from IIS 8.5 onwards, there's not much that can be done here to exclude the rb_ beacon POST from getting logged in IIS logs. Since the logging is outside of OneAgent, I doubt there's anything that can be done to prevent IIS from logging these requests.
May I ask why logging these beacon requests poses a problem, other than the obvious of creating a lot more log entries and therefore potentially creating more logs than without RUM enabled?

Hi Andre,
It is the obvious reason, you mentioned, more logging and not enough room on disk and Dynatrace was the last one to join the party (-;
