Hello everyone,
I am experiencing an issue where User Sessions are still being collected even though Session Replay has been disabled both at the individual application level and in the global environment settings.
The Session Replay interface and behavior appear to have changed after re-enabling and then disabling it. It seems as though the feature remains partially active or enabled elsewhere.
There may be a hidden or residual configuration keeping the User Session tracking active.
Could you please assist in identifying:
Why User Sessions are still being collected despite Session Replay being disabled?
Whether there are any other settings or configurations (e.g., environment variables, tenant-level flags, API settings) that might still be enabling session data collection?
How to completely disable both Session Replay and User Session capturing to stop further DEM usage?
Any guidance or clarification on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,
This could be happening due to caching on your end, the updated settings are not yet in effect.
or the injection is coming from diffrent application then where you are changing the settings.
Even if ENV level its turn off if its enabled on the application level, ENV level settings are overriden.
I would recomond you please capture a test HAR session and dynatrace application URL create a support ticket so we can further investigate the root cause.
Best Regards
