Synthetic Monitoring in Cloud Infrastructure

Hello, 

how do synthetic monitors work, when I use cloud infrastructure? The monitored application is only running on the intranet, so normally I would need a private synthetic location. Does it change anything, when it is not on-prem, but in the cloud?

You will still need a AG in the same network (a cloud vm) or you can work with your cloud network config rules to expose the app URL to Dynatrace Public Locations IP.
