Why does Chromium show as failed or skipped in Deployment Status when it is up to date?
When checking Deployment Status> ActiveGates> ActiveGate, the Chromium last update status shows failed or skipped even though Chromium is on the expected version
Answer
The Last Update status is set by the Synthetic Installer. If Chromium was previously set to be autoupdated but failed, so the version of Chromium was manually updated then this status will remain at Failed. Also, if the Chromium autoupdate setting is then disabled, the Last Update status for Chromium will not be updated as it will then be skipped by the installer.
