Hi Dynatrace Community! ๐
Iโm excited to share a new YouTube tutorial where I demonstrate how to automate Jira ticket prioritization based on Dynatrace alert severity. This approach helps reduce alert noise and ensures that critical issues are always front and center for your teams.
Avoid alert fatigue by filtering low-priority issues.
Ensure high-impact problems are addressed quickly.
Improve overall incident response and collaboration between DevOps and IT Ops teams.
Integrate Dynatrace with Jira
Set up the connection between Dynatrace and Jira using the webhook or problem notification integration method.
Define Alert Severity Rules in Dynatrace
Customize problem detection and severity settings to match the needs of your environment.
Map Dynatrace Severities to Jira Priorities
Using custom payloads, configure the logic that assigns ticket priority based on the Dynatrace alert severity (e.g., critical = high, warning = medium).
Test the Integration
Trigger test alerts to validate whether the correct priority is applied in Jira.
Fine-tune for Noise Reduction
Add filters or conditions in Dynatrace to avoid generating tickets for low-impact or recurring informational problems.
