If you're passionate about IT, you're in the right place!
The Dynatrace Community is all about knowledge sharing, education, networking, getting updates and news, participating in Community initiatives, creating Dynatrace extensions together, and much more. Our strength comes from users like you, so feel free to share your feedback!
We're here to make your experience with the Dynatrace Community the best it can be. Follow these simple guidelines to help us keep a friendly and helpful spirit in our forums.
Respect others
Being nice to others is always a good idea, both in the forum and everywhere else. Treat other Community members respectfully, even if you disagree with them. If you witness harassment, unnecessary negativity towards any user, or other inappropriateness—flag a post or contact Community Moderators.
We strongly believe that we can achieve the best results in a friendly environment.
Post valuable content
We encourage you to post content that will be valuable to others. No one wants to see advertisements when they're looking for knowledge. Let us know if you notice spam or marketing materials masked as a post.
Be on topic
Our forums are centered around Dynatrace, IT, and Software Intelligence. Being on topic and posting your questions, posts, ideas in the right place helps everyone, including you. We want everyone to be able to find what they are looking for as fast as possible. Remember to use labels properly, so the experts on the topic will get notified about it.
Keep sensitive data private
Our Community is visited by thousands of users each day. Most of our forums are open to everyone, so we highly encourage you to double-check the information you want to post.
Passwords, environment IDs, API keys, IP addresses, and any other confidential information should never land in the public forum. Always check if the attached screenshots don’t reveal too much.
Although our Community is open for any Dynatrace-related topics, if you suspect a data breach or a security vulnerability, don't discuss those in public. Revealing such information publicly may put your company at risk. Instead, please contact Dynatrace Support immediately.
Don’t be shy
There is no such thing as a stupid question—everyone was a beginner at some point. Our Community connects various IT specialists and experts who are truly helpful and friendly. Even the most obvious thing for one person isn't that obvious for another, so don't be shy and ask your questions! To be better at something we have to learn.
Mark the AI-generated content
Bots are cool, but we prefer people. All the AI-generated content posted in the Dynatrace Community must be clearly marked as such and communicated to other users. AI content can be used only as a reference and not be the only part of the message. If the AI Chatbot you're using provides sources, please include them in the answer. The answers generated by AI must be verified and tested by the author of the question before accepting them as solutions. If the post doesn't respect these said rules, it will be deleted.
Have fun, be yourself
This is probably the most important guideline: have fun!
