Hi Team,

Our RUM is still on Classic, but we want to convert all its USQL Dashboards to Gen3 dashboards, need your help to migrate few important USQL dashboards to Gen3, how can we achieve this.

Many Thanks in Advance.

Hello, @dkrishna

Yes, but treat it as a dashboard redesign/migration project, not a direct USQL to Gen3 conversion.

Today, they provide an upgrade path from Dashboards Classic to the newer Dashboards app, but that does not mean old USQL based RUM tiles automatically become equivalent Gen3 tiles. USQL is still tied to the Classic user session/session query model, while Gen3 dashboards are built around DQL, Grail data, metrics, and code tiles.

@MaximilianoML

I think there is some SDK is available to get use the same USQL in Gen3 dashboard and get performance Data on Gen3 dashboards.

Hello, @dkrishna

I don't know this one! If you have some link, could you gently share with us?

Max Lopes

As the PM for Dashboards I also would be curious, given in all my discussions with Digital Experience, we at the end had to agree that its not 1:1 transferable. Meaning we ended up with what @MaximilianoML said which is you truly have to recreate it with the new data model, which is different.

@dkrishna , some older stuff how to do it, still valid https://youtu.be/UrApwUgf0RI?si=5DXvKXJBMRN-hFDF

However, @zietho  is right, in the long run, you need to rewrite that using the new RUM data model. The approach above in the tips&trics uses the DEM classic functionality (such as USQL), which will eventually disappear.  This power dashboarding episode is from the time when the New RUM experience was not yet generally available.
