Could someone explain why the difference? Performance Metric 'Navigation Start' data can be visualized when in User Action Analysis, but not when metric is created.

Hi @suman_dt , when was the metric created?

Once the metric is created only new data is written to calculated metrics, retrospective data is not included.

It was not showing data 72 hours after the metric was created.

Hello @suman_dt 

Simply as per the attached screenshots the shown RUM insights are available after the injection of OA into your application, and detection rules are defined.

So the RUM signals get flowing into Dynatrace from different sources, as a result you can see even historical insights about the selected metric as it's built in metric by default and then the RUM signals get classified and properly "stitched" related to that performance metric.

While creating a metric depending on the highlighted performance metric, so the data will start flowing and showing data after the metric creation not before.

Hi @Peter_Youssef,

I am able to see the data while creating the metric from the Application>Settings>Metric>Create Metric, but not in Data explorer. Please see the screenshots attached.

Metric: Navigation start (Start time)

• Created this metric from the application setting
• Able to see the data with the same filters (Screenshot 1)
• No data in Data Explorer (Screenshot 2)
