Datapower metrics weren´t found


We have installed successfully Datapower extension from the Hub and we have enabled two configurations that returns status OK. But in the dashboard called "IBM Datapower OverView" created by default when the extension is installed we can´t get most of data because we receive the message "name_of_the_metric were not found".


We have checked we get the requirements:

  • Dynatrace version 1.269+
  • ActiveGate version 1.269+
  • ActiveGate with the Extensions 2.0 module enabled.
  • IBM Datapower appliance with the XML Management Interface enabled.
  • User with access permissions to the XML Management Interface.
  • Make sure that statistics are enabled in your DataPower instance. Some metrics will be missing if statistics are turned off.

We neither see Datapower technology on Technologies section.

Does anyone know why Dynatrace can´t find the metrics although the configurations returns status OK? Maybe comunnication problems or user permissions problems?

Have you checked the ActiveGate extension log? If I were you I would open a support ticket If you have not found in the logs.

Finally I got solving the problem creating an Active Gate group and pointing out the Datapower configurations  to the new Active Gate group. And the error disappeared and we started to see data.
