Raise an alert if if.operstatus is down

SNMP v2 extension gathers "Operational Status" of the network interfaces, and it is dimension if.operstatus

If operstatus turns down after being up, it would deserve a possible event. The SNMP extension seems to have only alerts for bandwidth, though.

Is it possible with the current framework to raise an alert if if.operstatus is down? Or not in the if.adminstatus? Being a dimension makes this more difficult?

As long as your metric selector or dimension in the metric event filters on that dimension it's possible to set up an alert on it. Just go with a metric value >0 or so for the condition and you should get a problem created.
