Following an incident with One Agent Dynatrace using ports 50002 and 50003 dedicated to an application hosted on the server

I followed the procedure to configure another port: The Procedure is available on the Dynatrace website

the procedure is to edit the WATCHDOGUSERCONFIG .CONFIG file in C: \ Program Files (x86) \ dynatrace \ oneagent \ agent \ conf

However, when updating the One agent Dynatrace the configuration of the WATCHDOGUSERCONFIG.CONFIG file disappears. The contents of the C: \ Program Files (x86) \ dynatrace \ oneagent \ agent \ conf folder are overwritten by the new version. Hi Patrice,

you were editing the wrong file. You are supposed to edit watchdoguserconfig.conf , which is is located in the following directory: %ProgramData%\dynatrace\oneagent\agent\config
