Hello Dyna might,
I have a concern regarding OneAgent as follows:
Thanks.
Hi,
I think Process availability or OS services monitoring can help you when some process is down or a service is not installed. But I am not sure if Dynatrace processes/services are exceptions or not.
Best regards
Hello Anton
Thanks for response OS services monitoring is set for Linux and Windows services monitoring.
If it applies to One Agent services what services should be identified to create policy to start alerting when One Agent is being Uninstalled or the server being decommissioned totally, Thanks.
Hello Anton,
After reviewing Documentation https://www.dynatrace.com/support/help/platform-modules/infrastructure-monitoring/hosts/monitoring/o... I think it will be doable for the environment level for Deployed One Agents On Linux and Windows, for Windows the directory is unified and also for Linux in the current Project.
It's also applied for Host / Host Group and tenant Levels
Hi Anton,
regarding process availability, kindly find the configurations below
Thank you
Hi,
I understand now, you want to be alerted when some server is decommissioned, if OneAgent is removed, you cannot monitoring process availability because it is done by OneAgent itself.
I think this is not a built function provided by Dynatrace, you need development your own Extension to be executed from ActiveGate.
Best regards
Hi, please have a look at Enable alerting when OneAgent is down - Dynatrace Community, with links, where this has been discussed before and a workaround is suggested (that works).
